Brewed to enjoy, share, and improve
What started with a humble 1-gallon Brooklyn Brew Shop kit in a Washington, D.C. basement apartment has evolved into something special. Our name, a playful blend of family names, reflects what we're all about – bringing things together in unexpected ways.
While we began by recreating classic recipes, our passion quickly turned to crafting unique beers that you simply can't find elsewhere. We brew small batches (typically 1-3 gallons) that let us experiment with premium ingredients and techniques that wouldn't be practical at commercial scale. Some of our favorite creations have been "happy accidents" – beers that wandered off the traditional style guidelines and became something entirely their own.
These days, brewing from our DC-area home, we've found our groove with German and Belgian-inspired recipes that shine bright with our local water profile. You won't find us chasing trending styles – instead, we're crafting traditional recipes with unexpected twists, seasonal specialties for celebrations, and annual birthday brews that have become beloved traditions.
Our beers rarely fit neatly into competition style guidelines, and that's exactly how we like it. Each small batch is brewed to be shared with friends and family, paired with good conversation, and enjoyed for exactly what it is – a labor of love crafted in small batches, one unique recipe at a time.
